EtBr remover is a specifically designed reagent effectively destroy and clear up
the EtBr and result in non-fluorescence and non-mutagenic remain. This product
is provided special prescription for the eradication of solid or liquid EtBr
contaminant. The ready pack EtBr remover bag(tea bag) is for the treatment of
liquid EtBr such as staining solution and contaminated waste. The EtBr remover
spray is for the treatment of solid EtBr contaminant such as table or any lab
tools. Ethidium bromide (sometimes abbreviated as EtBr) is an intercalating agent commonly used as a nucleic acid stain in molecular biology laboratories for techniques such as agarose gel electrophoresis. When exposed to ultraviolet light, it will fluoresce with a red-orange color, intensifying almost 20-fold after binding to DNA. Ethidium bromide may be a very strong mutagen, and may possibly be a carcinogen or teratogen (although this has never been proven). EtBr remover can eradicate EtBr. This effect can be monitored and confirmed by UV light. Once destroyed, the fluorescence will disappear. The blocking of mutagenic effect of EtBr Remover has been demonstrated by Ames Test. The EtBr solid contaminant can be eradication within 5 min, and 2 liter of EtBr liquid contaminant can be destroyed within 30 minutes. (For 3 liter EtBr liquid contaminant, it will require 60 minutes.) Two specific designs are for different needs: EtBr solid contaminant treatment and EtBr liquid contaminant treatment, i.e. the sprayer format and the ready tea bag pack format.
